Clerks III Trailer scenethatreviews, July 6, 2022July 7, 2022 Today is the day that Kevin Smith fans have been waiting for, the release of the Clerks III trailer. Regardless of how you feel about him or his films, Kevin Smith is very big on encouraging people to pursue their dreams. The world needs more people encouraging others to pursue their artistic dreams. That being said, I happen to be a big fan of Kevin Smith and his movies, particularly those in the View Askewniverse. I can remember seeing the original Clerks for the first time when I was working as a shift leader at Hollywood Video. Seeing Randal (Jeff Anderson) working as a clerk at RST Video, he instantly became my favorite character. I then went out of my way to watch every other Kevin Smith film up to that point. After seeing Clerks II in theaters, I thought for sure that was the last time we would see that specific gang in a movie. As you can imagine, I was thrilled when I heard we would be getting a third installment. We are here to talk about the Clerks III trailer that was released today. So, how about I stop rambling and we watch the trailer… I don’t know about you, but I found myself grinning when the trailer ended. We see the Quick Stop and that RST is now a dispensary. Jay and Silent Bob walk up and still hang out in-front of the building. And in a nod to the original, the crew still climbs on-top of the building to play hockey. Jay then reminds us that this is how they did it in the ’90s. At this point, the nostalgia is finding its way into my veins. They have me. I am all in. We then see Randal outside of the Quick Stop having difficulty catching his breath. When this happens again while in the store, who is there to try and save the day? None other than former Mooby employee, Elias. After not wanting to have Elias do “mouth stuff” to him, Randal collapses in the store. While in the hospital, Randal decides he is done watching the same old movies over and over again. Instead, he is going to make a movie of his own. About what? Well, his life working at the Quick Stop of course! The trailer continues with different looks at who to expect cameos from (happy to see Affleck’s face), gives us a glance of Randal and Dante bantering, pokes fun at the price of upsetting the Mouse, and gives us a release date of “this fall”. Clerks III will be released September 13, 2022 and will star Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, Jeff Anderson, Brian O’Halloran, Rosario Dawson, and Trevor Fehrman. So, there you have it. I am excited and looking forward to this. But more importantly, what are your thoughts on the Clerks III trailer? Are you excited to see the gang back together?
